Kollyinsider already reported that Sun Network is planning to premiere the Tamil remake of the 2020 Kannada film, Mayabazar 2016 for special festival day.

Titled 'Naanga Romba Busy', the comic caper went on floors last month and now it has been officially announced that the movie will be a direct-to-television release on Sun TV for Diwali.

Director Sundar C acquired the Tamil remake rights of the Kannada comedy hit, 'Mayabazar 2016' starred Raj Shetty, Vasishta Simha, Achyuth Kumar, Prakash Raj, Sadhu Kokila in the lead roles.

This film is directed by Badri starring Prasanna, Shaam, Ashwin Kakumanu, Shruti Marathe, Yogi Babu and VTV Ganesh in vital roles. Badri is known for directing films like 'Aiyntham Padai' and 'Veerappu' with Sundar C in lead. The film is bankrolled by filmmaker-actor Sundar C's Avni Cinemas banner.

This pandemic has made a lot of leading producers and actors opt for a direct digital release through OTT streaming platforms, which leads to shortage of movies for TV channels during the festival season. However Sun Network planned to premiere couple of movies directly on its channel with one being 'Naanga Romba Busy' and other one is the upcoming film to be directed by rural entertainer set to be directed by M Muthaiah with Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon.

Sun TV has a phenomenal viewership and having said that, we can expect this comedy drama to record high TRP ratings.
