Actor Simbu alias STR is working with Venkat Prabhu's 'Maanaadu' after lot of controversies and issues between the actor and producer.

Venkat Prabhu has confirmed in an interview that Simbu is undergoing massive body transformation for 'Maanadu' during COVID-19 lockdown.

It was also reported earlier that the actor was following a strict fitness routine in London. Some other photos and videos of the actor also surfaced online, where he was seen working out. There were reports recently that the actor has apparently reduced more than 20 kg, as he had reduced from 100 kg to 79 kg for his role the film.

Some sources claim that Simbu underwent a surgery in Kerala that made him lose so much of weight in a short span of time. Per latest reports, the actor would be soon releasing the new photo shoot with his new look after body transformation. and as soon as the news about this spread, there have been excitements and exhilarations getting mounted upon the fans.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, 'Maanaadu' is bankrolled by Suresh Kamatchi. The film has an ensemble star cast including Kalyani Priyadarshini for the female lead, SJ Suryah, Bigg Boss fame Dany, Manoj K Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekar among the others.

The film was initially dropped after Simbu had some issues with producer Suresh Kamatchi. After Venkat Prabhu's intervention, the issues were sorted after several rounds of talks.
