The eerie camera moves to reveal something startling has been set. The scene ends with the couple getting murdered and crucified in the basement of the woodhouse villa. This incident happens in 1972 and hence the place is termed as a haunted villa.

49 years later, Sakshi (Anushka Shetty) is a dumb and deaf artist who impresses Anthony (Madhavan) through her skills. As Sakshi’s wish is to get her hands on a painting which is stuck in a haunted house, she takes Anthony’s help and moves on to the job, only to realize that he has been killed by the force inside the house. Sakshi teams up with Maha (Anjali), a Seatle P.D. to trap and pin down the killer, and to unveil the truths behind the tale.

Review

With no emotional heft, 'Nishabdham' becomes unpalatable by the time the big reveal arrives. The screenplay is bland, with the scenes being riddled with lazy acting at times.

2.25 / 5 ()
Screenplay is the biggest let-down. Anushka looks alluring. Maddy exudes charm and grace. Songs are soothing, they really don't seem to add much value to the proceedings.

2 / 5 ()
A thriller that engages partially. ‘Nishabdham’ barely scratches the surface of a potentially engrossing story. The glaring missteps make Nishabdham underwhelming.

Silence feels like a dreary dubbed film. The acting is uninspired all round.

Silence is a mess. The Climax is too passable and the supporting cast is just ok.
