'Vikram Vedha' pair Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath sharing the screen space together again for a movie titled ‘Maara’. The film also features Adhey Kangal fame Sshivada Nair in another lead role. 

'Maara' is directed by Netflix movie Kalki fame Dhilip Kumar, which is an adaptation of the Malayalam film Charlie (2015) by Martin Prakkat. Dulquer Salman stared in the Original which was a hit back when it released.

Maara is all about a woman who runs away from home to avoid getting married and rents a room to stay. She finds a sketchbook of the previous occupant, which reveals an incomplete story, and decides to find the artist. The rest is about the various shades in the artist’s life-style.

Madhavan will be pinning all his hopes on this movie to cheer up his admirers as his he didn't give any proper hits post 'Vikram Vedha'.

The movie is skipping the theatrical release and scheduled to Premiere on the leading OTT Platform, Amazon Prime Video on 17th December 2020 as Christmas Special.

It is worth mentioning that Madhavan's last film – Silence in Tamil (Nishabdham in Telugu) skipped its theatrical release and released online directly on Amazon Prime Video. Also, Shraddha Srinath starrer 'Krishna and His Leela' already released online on Netflix and got good applause from the audience. Her another movie with Vishal, 'Chakra' is also releasing on OTT platform.

Coming back to 'Maara', Madhavan will be playing a man at 40s, Shraddha Srinath would be seen as a teenage girl crossing her 20s. The film will have music by Ghibran. Pramod Films is bankrolling the Tamil remake which also has Sshivada Nair, stand up comedian Alexander Babu and Mouli.
