Actor Karthi and his wife Ranjani to soon become mom and dad for the second time. Actor Karthi got married to Ranjani in 2011. The couple had a baby girl named Umayal.

Now, the latest news update on the actor states that he and his wife are all set to become parents for the second time.

While Karthi’s brother Suriya went in for a love marriage and chose to marry his long-time sweetheart and actress, Jyotika, Karthi opted for a girl chosen by his parents and married Ranjani on Jul 3, 2011. Ranjani, a Coimbatore girl, is a gold medallist in MA (English Literature) from Stella Maris college.

Karthi and Ranjani blessed with a baby girl on Jan 11, 2013 and named her Umayal. After 7 years, it has been reported that Karthi's wife Ranjani is pregnant again and they are ready to welcome one more addition to their family.

For the first three months of the pregnancy, both Karthi and Ranjani were staying in Chennai but in May, they came back to Koundampalayam.

On the work front, Karthi is working for his next film 'Sultan' costarring Rashmika Mandanna. Karthi also has Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan, he is also likely to soon begin shooting for Mithran's next with Prince Pictures and a film with Komban director Muthaiah is also in the pipeline.
