Actor Sivakarthikeyan is currently working on action comedy 'Doctor' with director Nelson and sci-fi 'Ayalaan' with director R Ravi Kumar.

It was rumoured that Siva will join hands with director Vignesh Shivan for a romantic comedy film bankrolled by Lyca productions.

Now the latest buzz about Sivakarthikeyan's next romantic comedy film for Lyca Productions is not directed by Vignesh Shivan.

Sources say that the makers were unhappy with the Vignesh Shivan's quote on the production cost for the film. While the makers asked to revise the cost to set the film at a low budget, there were no updates from Vignesh Shivan (because he is busy with Nayan?), so the makers decided to rope in another talented debutant director for the film with Sivakarthikeyan.

Meanwhile reports say that Sivakarthikeyan is likely to team with Desingh Periyasamy of 'Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal' fame for a new film. Sources close to the director say that Sivakarthikeyan was quite impressed with Periyasamy's Kannum Kannum Kolaiyadithaal and had recently called him for a meet. The two discussed on the possibilities of collaborating together for a project and had even finalised a script. If all goes well, they will team up very soon.

However, an official announcement will be made only after Sivakarthikeyan completes his present commitments. The film is rumoured to go on floors in early 2021

Despite director Desingh got a lot of offers from several producers, he prefers to complete the script before initiating talks with any producers. Let's wait for the official announcement.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan' 'Doctor' post-production work began and also the central cast of 'Doctor' is planning to reunite in the last week of September to shoot the remaining portions of the film. The team will be shooting in Chennai.

Sivakarthikeyan will be next seen in science-fiction Ayalaan. The movie, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead is directed by R Ravikumar. The film also features Bollywood actor Isha Koppikar in a prominent role. The movie is produced by R D Raja and Kotapadi J Rajesh under their respective production banners. The film is reportedly in pre-production and is expected to go on floors soon.
