Thala Ajith rejoined with director H Vinoth for 'Valimai', after 'Nerkonda Paarvai', a Tamil remake of Bollywood hit 'Pink'.

'Valimai' marks Ajith's 60th film and xpectations are high for the movie because of actor-director combination. H Vinoth is known for his research and script writing, his earlier films like 'Sathuranga Vettai' and 'Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru' are the proofs.

'Valimai' is a action thriller and the progress of the film was affected by the coronavirus threat and lockdown. While Thala fans were waiting for any status quo on the film, now comes a sweet news for the fans.

Kollyinsider has reported earlier the film shoot may resume before October. True to the reports, the team has finally resumed the shooting of 'Valimai' in the outskirts of Chennai with a crew under 75 people.

The shooting is reportedly happening with all safety measures in place and the team resumes the shoot where it was left off. Actor Karthikeya, said to be the main antagonist in the film, has also joined the shooting of 'Valimai', and the director is reportedly shooting some race scenes with the actor. Ajith is expected to join for his face-off scenes with Karthikeya.
Meanwhile, the pictures from the shooting spot have been leaked and are doing rounds on social media. Director H Vinoth and cinematographer Nirav Shah are seen in some of the pictures, and Actor Kartikeya was also spotted in the shoot.
In a recent interview, Boney Kapoor, the producer of the film revealed, 'Valimai is a big action film that stars Ajith Kumar. It happens to be the 60th film of the actor. Around 50 percent shooting of Valimai is completed'.
Yami Gautham and Huma Qureshi are appearing as the female leads opposite Ajith. Ileana D'cruz is said to be making a special appearance in the movie. Cinematography of the film is handled by Nirav Shah. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music for the film.
