Karthik Subbaraj Dhanush's 'Jagame Thandhiram' - Netflix release? Karthik Subbaraj confirms
There were lot of speculations on Kollywood biggies to follow the makers of Suriya's 'Soorarai Pottru' to release their films on OTT platforms.
Speculations raise because the makers of Suriya's most expected film of the year 'Soorarai Pottru' had confidently said that the movie is made for theaters and they would release the film only in theaters until the actor announced suddenly that the movie is going to release directly OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.

Meanwhile there were lot buzz in the media that Dhanush's 'Jagame Thandhiram' producers who had also previously said that they were planning only for theatrical release, now are in talking terms with OTT platform for the release. Recent buzz is that they are in talks with Hotstar India and Netflix for a direct digital premiere.
However, the producer of the film, Sashikanth of YNOT Studios and director of the movie Karthik Subbaraj clarified again that the movie will release only in theaters, responding to a fans in social media.
Karthik Subbaraj earlier in an interview on early July had said that "Jagame Thanthiram is meant for theatrical release and we have to wait for it. It will not release on OTT."
"I am sure every filmmaker wants to watch their film on the big screen along with the audience. The theatre experience will always remain close to my heart.", he added in that interview.
Now the director reaffirms and stands still on the decision to release the film only in theaters once the world heals.
Produced by Sashikanth of Y Not Studios and Reliance Entertainment, James Cosmo of Game of Thrones fame plays the baddie in the film which also has Aishwarya Lekshmi and Sanjana Natarajan in pivotal characters.
