Director Ponram's upcoming rural family entertainer passed the censor board with U certificate

The shooting of the film went on floors in September last year and wrapped up in December. Touted to be a family entertainer, the film has been shot in various locations in Pollachi, Chennai and Bangkok. Sathyaraj is playing a character called MG Ramasamy, and Sasikumar will be seen as his son, so the tile of the film 'MGR Magan'.
The post-production work of the film was going on during the lockdown and now the rural entertainer has passed the censor board with clean 'U' certificate. The director of the film officially announced it on his twitter page.

This is the second for Sathyaraj with director Ponram after 'Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam'. Set against the backdrop of Theni, the film will also star Saranya Ponvannan, Samuthirakani. While Saranya plays Sasikumar’s mother, Samuthirakani will be seen as her brother. With Nikki Galrani as the female lead, Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiah, Singam Puli, Rekha, and Nirosha form the supporting cast.
D.Imman, who composed Ponram’s previous movies is not composing music for the film. Popular singer Anthony Dasan, who has sung hit songs like Sodakku Mela, Kaasu Panam etc has turned music director for the film. Vinoth Rathinasamy 'Nedunalvaadai' is handling the camera, Vivek Harshan heads the editing department. The makers of the film 'MGR Magan' is waiting for the theatres to reopen for the release.
