'Breathe: Into the Shadows' web series is the sequel to 'Breathe' starring Madhavan in the lead role. Starring opposite Abhishek Bachchan, who is also part of a web show for the first time, Menen plays a mother whose six-year-old child gets kidnapped in the crime thriller.

The web series is getting good response from the viewers, who are liking Nithya's work. This web series is also making headlines because it grabbed attention for a kissing scene in which Nithya Menon seen kissing another actress Shruti Bapna in a car.

After the series released, Nithya's lesbian kissing clip went viral on the internet. The liplock scene has sparked controversy online. For those who don't know, Nithya Menen earlier played a lesbian character in the Telugu film, 'Awe'. She has already done a liplock scene with Esha Rebba for the film.
