Chiyaan Vikram's 'Cobra' raises the expectation of the film right from the first look poster. Factors like Vikram's seven different roles, AR Rahman's music, Kannada actress Srinidhi Shetty's debut in Tamil, cricketer Irfan Pathan's acting debut spikes up the expectation on the film. The film also stars Miya George.

This supernatural thriller film directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu and produced by SS Lalit Kumar under the banner Seven Screen Studio. The makers has now released a single track 'Thumbi Thullal'.

The production house Seven Screen Studio twitted with the link to listen to the single on JioSaavn. The graphical lyrical video was released by Sony Music in it's official YouTube channel.

Listen to 'Thumbi Thullal' Track (From "Cobra")

The song is sung by the nightingale of Indian cinema Shreya Ghoshal along with Nakhul Abyankar. The lyrics for the same is penned by Vivek and Nithin Raj. The catchy lyrics with the complementing beats are indeed impressive, making the fans' wait worthwhile. Composed by music maestro AR Rahman, 'Thumbi Thullal' is an outstanding treat. The song is now exclusively available on music streaming platform, Jio Saavn.

Announcement was made couple of days back that the first single of the film penned by lyricist Vivek in A.R.Rahman music will be released today at 5pm.

Along with the announcement, the director of the film Ajay Gnanamuthu shared some fresh stills that are a part of the visuals of the song on his official Twitter account.

The project, which marks the third time union of Vikram and Rahman after Raavanan and I, was officially announced in May.

Vikram is seen sporting a new look in the film with long hair. It's the same look he will also retain for Mani Ratnam's upcoming film, 'Ponniyin Selvan'.

'Cobra' has almost fifty percent of the shoot remaining including a high-octane climax scene. Earlier, the movie was scheduled for a summer 2020 release, but due to the sudden COVID-19 outbreak, it has been postponed. The cast and crew were at last shooting an important sequence in Russia, during which the pandemic hit the world, making them rush back to India.
