After requests from the small screen associations, the government has now given permission to shoot with the maximum of 60 people on the sets including actors and technicians.
TN Government also given guidance for the respective teams to follow proper measures to stop spreading COVID-19 like social distancing, and wear masks at the shooting spot, sanitizing etc.
FEFSI (Film Employees Federation of South India) president RK Selvamani told reporters yesterday that, "the government has given permission to shoot serials with 60 people. Since there is some prep-work to be done, the shooting will begin on the 10th of this month." Today, Khushbu Sundar , the actress cum serial producer, Producer Sujatha Vijayakumar had a discussion with R K Selvamani regarding the shooting.
Khushbu posted on her Twitter, “Had an extremely busy day today..me n @sujataa_HMM held meeting with #FEFSI Prez #RKSelvamani regarding shootings..then back to back meetings with all channel heads for the same n assurance to keep hygiene n sanitization at shoots. We look forward to start work very soon.”
FEFSI also requested TV channels to provide COVID 19 insurance policy to the workers who are needed for their serial and reality shows. TV channels have now given their nod to FEFSI's request and offered insurance policy to the workers.
FEFSI also recently discussed the practical difficulties and how to resume the shoot with the producers of various TV shows and serials. We hear that producers of small screen will make an official announcement on resuming the shoot soon. Get ready, Serial lovers!
