Composer SS Thaman has confirmed that he has been signed to score the music for Thalapathy 65, which will be directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures.
Thaman revealed the news in a video interaction with a Telugu channel. “I’m very happy and excited about the film. We have been following up for nearly three years,” said Thaman about scoring his first soundtrack for Thalapathy Vijay.
This will be AR Murugadoss's fourth project with the actor Vijay after Thuppakki, Kaththi, and Sarkar. While rumours have it that Thalapathy 65 could be a sequel to Thuppakki, there is no official confirmation yet.
Meanwhile, Vijay is currently awaiting the release of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Master, the release of which has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Thaman’s last release in Tamil was the Arya-starrer Magamuni.
