One of the biggest blockbuster of Vijay's career is 'Thuppakki' was directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu released in the year 2012.

A sequel to the film is under talks for many years and reports were going around that the ace director is working on writting the script for the sequel. Sources close the director says now the script is complete, and Vijay has apparently given a positive nod to this project. Now a new hint came out from Thuppakki team member, confirms that Vijay's next movie 'Thalapathy 65' is going to be 'Thuppakki 2'.

Though there hasn't been any confirmed statement yet by the makers or from the actor officially, but acclaimed cinematographer Santosh Sivan has posted a collage picture of Vijay from 'Thuppakki' first part on social media, The post shared by Santosh has not been captioned, which is adding fuel to fire and Thalapathy fans can't wait and they go craze over the news by trending Thuppakki2 in social media.

The mega project is said to be bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Just like 'Thuppakki', Vijay will play the role of Jagadeesh, an Indian Army intelligence officer who is determined to demolish terrorism in the sequel. Kajal Agarwal who paired Vijay in prequel, will romance Vijay in this sequel as well. Anirudh also said to be in talks to compose music for the project. We now have to wait for the official confirmation which might be announced on June 22nd which is Thalapathy Vijay's birthday.

Vijay fans are now awaiting the release of his new movie Master, which was originally scheduled to have its theatrical release on April 9th, 2020. However, due to the coronavirus crisis, the makers have indefinitely pushed the release of this flick.
