Raashi Khanna recently confirmed in a Twitter chat that she has signed Aruvaa, which was slated for Diwali release before the lockdown began. Composer D. Imman has been roped in to score the music for this family entertainer, which will be his first-ever with both Suriya and Hari. The film is planned to be shot in Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Nagercoil and the surrounding locales.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown the movie industry is hit hard and it will take several months to recover, though theatres will reopen after lockdown and the shooting will resume with precautions. As a goodwill gesture amid the COVID-19 crisia, recently actor Vijay Antony has slashed 25 percent of his salary and Harish Kalyan is doing the same in support of producers who are affected the most because of this lockdown. For the first time in the line, director Hari has slashed his remuneration by 25% for Suriya’s Aruvaa to help producer Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green.

One of the leading directors of Tamil cinema, Hari has directed five films with Surya. For the 6th time, Hari is directing the film titled Aruvaa. Rashi Khanna is signed as the heroine for the film. The shooting of the film is to begin after the Coronavirus problem.
