Ashok Selvan is also using this COVID-19 lockdown period to hear some new scripts so that he can shortlist his upcoming projects.

After the blockbuster success of romantic comedy Oh My Kadavule, Ashok Selvan has signed a new Tamil film to be produced by Oru Naal Koothu fame Kenanya Films. Sources say the the heart throb actor will be pairing up with Niharika Konidela. Actress Niharika Konidela, who earlier debuted in Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren’. The project is touted to be of the fun rom-com genre, and the music will be composed by Leon James.

This upcoming project will be helmed by Swathini, a debutant who was earlier the assistant director to Suseenthiran and will be going on floors by the end of the year.

Ashok also has an untitled Tamil-Telugu bilingual directed by Ani Sasi. Nithya Menen and Ritu Varma are playing the female leads in the film. Ashok’s other films include Redrum, Marakkar and Nenjamellam Kaadhal.
