Actor Suriya is currently busy promoting 'Ponmagal Vandhal' starring his wife Jyothika in the lead role, which is premiering on OTT platform Amazon Prime this Friday.

He is also awaiting release of his upcoming film 'Soorari Pottru' directed by Irudhi Suttru's' director Sudha Kongara's. Major portions of the shooting has been completed.

Due to the coronavirus lockdown, the 'Anjaan' hero is currently staying at his Chennai residence. Meanwhile, the news of Suriya got injured is doing rounds in the social media.

Fans of Suriya are very much worried and are wishing Suriya a speedy recovery. According to the reports, the 44-year-old actor has injured himself during a workout session at home. The actor suffered a minor hand injury and has recovered completely after treatment.

On the professional front, Suriya pinned all his hopes on the film, Soorari Pottru. According to the reports Suriya has spent about Rs. 47 lakh per day to rent an aircraft. The team shot almost a couple of weeks inside the aircraft. The movie is based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath, the founder of the budget airline Air Deccan.

The movie is bankrolled by Suriya's 2D Entertainment. Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal, Aparna Balamurali and Mohan Babu will be seen in the prominent roles in the film. GV Prakash Kumar is the music director of the film.

Suriya will be next seen under the direction of Hari, Viswasam fame Siva and another with Vetrimaaran. Another report says that Suriya will be seen in the direction of Gautham Menon.
