Actor Naren, who has so far been seen in supporting and character roles, is all set to play the antagonist in filmmaker Sundar C's upcoming Tamil horror-comedy "Aranmanai 2".

"Naren has been roped in to play a powerful villain. Sundar C felt he's underrated and can deliver much more than what has already been extracted from him," a source from the film's unit told.

The source, however, added that Naren won't be the only baddie in the film.

"Sundar is on the lookout for someone to play another negative character. He's likely to zero in on someone in the next couple of weeks," the source said.

A sequel to Tamil blockbuster "Aranmanai", the film features Siddharth, Trisha Krishnan, Hansika Motwani and Soori in the lead roles.

It will go on the floors soon.
