OK Kanmani directed by Mani Rathnam starring Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menon in the lead is expected to be released in May.

The trailer of the film was released on March 1, which has created a record.

The trailer had been viewed in Youtube by more than 40 lakhs viewers in just 40 days of the release.

This is same as Kochadaiyan. Lingaa, I and Yennai Arindhaal trailers that have also been viewed by more than 40 lakhs people.

Meantime 'O Kadhal Kanmani' Team was in a celebration mood for the audio success.

While we see beautiful colours, lovely set designs and candid moments in the trailers and video clips of OK Kanmani, it was a similar scene at the Taj Coromandel, Chennai today (April 11th). Tamil patriot lyricist Vairamuthu, evergreen Mani Ratnam, music Mozart AR Rahman, smart and dashing Dulquer Salmaan and camera king PC Sreeram graced this event where OK Kanmani team thanked everyone for its successful soundtracks.

Vairamuthu

"AR Rahman and Mani Ratnam sat together and wrote the song Mental Manadhil. Many people asked me why I didn't write, that's because I was out of town and amdist the gap these two made it as lyricists. The lesson I learnt was to never leave the city while working in a film". On that note, the whole media burst out of laughter.

About the film he said, ''How will you handle a culture shock? In fifty years, we might even have to face the question; will we still believe the institution of marriage? This film enlightens you about all this and makes you question your belief. How the lead characters go about justifying this culture shock is what this film is about.''

He added, ''Keep appreciating our work in public and if you want to criticise, do it over the phone''

AR Rahman

One can never get tired of ARR's songs. But what drives this man to compose something fresh and new each time? He said, ''Well, people always ask me 'what next as everything so far is going good for you?' I feel that's where the problem is. If I sit down and think everything is going good, I might get stagnated. Complacent attitude will always pull you down. I have the same energy and enthusiasm that I had when I started.''

Dulquer Salmaan

This most sought after actor felt this was a dream-come-true project. He said, ''This entire one year feels like a dream. A dream that I don't want to wake up from. A dream that I want to keep living. This is a dream team; working with people like PC Sreeram, Mani Ratnam and AR Rahman is magical. I am actually sad that the film is going to release as I have to wake up from my dream''.

''I want to thank each and everyone who worked for the film. When I approached Leela Samson, I was very skeptical if she would do it or not. Producer KE Gnanavelraja of Studio Greens, who holds OK Kanmani distribution rights has stepped in and confirmed the film's release on April 17th in 350+ screens all over Tamil Nadu.
