Kappal is an upcoming Tamil comedy caper directed by debutante Karthik G Krish. Latest is that filmmaker Shankar has bought the distribution rights of Kappal for good amounts.

Ace director Shankar who has produced movies like Kaadhal and several other small budget movies which focused on interesting scripts is back with a new movie. Shankar’s home banner S Pictures has bought his ex-asstiant Karthik's directorial debut Kappal.

Karthik was Shankar's assistant director for Superstar Rajinikanth's Sivaji and Enthiran. The budding director reported that he has shown Kappal final copy to Shankar seeking his blessings and to his surprise his guru has expressed interest to market the film after he knew that Karthik was awaiting for an interesting buyer.

Shankar has thoroughly enjoyed the movie and very happy with the way Kappal shaped up.

Kappal casts Vaibhav, Sonam and Karunakaran in the lead roles. Music by Natarajan Sankaran, cinematographer Dinesh Krishnan and editor Anthony among Kappal crew.

Kappal is likely to hit screens in next two months...
