Director Deekay, who is basking in the success of Tamil horror-comedy "Yaamirukka Bayamey", has confirmed that he has plans to work on a sequel of the movie. However, he is not sure when it is likely to happen.
For his next project too, he has signed up with the very same production house that made his debut film.

Deekay says, “I am currently mulling over the idea of a sequel to Yamirukka Bayamae. A sequel is definitely on the cards but I am not sure whether it will be my next film. I have started working on the script of my next project and I want to wait and watch how it goes. I might end up writing a sequel or a different story.”

He adds, “I am not planning for a sequel just because the film has been well received. It will be interesting to script a sequel for a horror film and that is why I am attempting it. Be it horror or comedy, my next film will be as entertaining as Yamirukka Bayamae.”

"Yaamirukka Bayamey" has turned out to be the most successful Tamil film of the years in terms of return on investment.

Made on a modest budget of Rs.3 crore, the movie has already raked in over Rs.15 crore at the box office and continues to run to packed houses.

Kreshna Kulasekaran, Karunakaran, Oviya and Rupa Manjari played the lead in "Yaamirukka Bayameya, which will soon be remade in Telugu.
