Renowned lyricist and singer Gana Bala has a philanthropist in him. Sources close to the singer reveal that Gana Bala has been helping the education needs of many students from poor backgrounds and he has helped more than 500 students till now.

The source adds that Gana Bala faced many social and financial hardships before getting recognition through the film industry. So he has begun his part to uplift others who are in need of help to come up in life.

It is said that the singer has decided to donate Rs.1,000 for economically poor students who has scored well in the board exams.
