It’s known that Taapsee will be making a special appearance in Aishwaryaa Dhanush’s Vai Raja Vai. While the buzz is that she has been cast as the villain in the film, the actress refutes such reports and maintains that her role is edgy and different from the one she has played before.

She clarifies, “I play Shreya, an aloof girl who is a regular at casinos. She is neither on the hero’s side nor the villain’s. She does what she is being told to, and has nothing to gain or lose from the hero and the villain’s win or defeat. I’m not playing the villain in the film; there’s Daniel Balaji too in it!”

Taapsee shot on a cruise for a week for the film, which stars Gautham Karthik and Priya Anand in the lead. “I don’t gamble, and I’m not a big fan of casinos too. I don’t believe in staking your hard-earned money against luck, and don’t advocate it to my friends as well. But, for this film, I had to act like I was a pro-gambler and go around tables placing bets. In fact, this was the first time ever that I entered a casino!” she says.
