Speaking about Mariyaan, ARR said "I never discussed the story of Mariyaan before accepting the offer from Barath Bala. Its all friendship that forced me to do that. "

Detailing further on his work with Barath Bala, ARR continued "I have noted him for the past 10 years. He used to take jobs with confidence. I love to work along with Danush, Selvaragavan and Yuvan Shankar Raja"

About a song sung by Yuvan for Mariyaan, ARR said "Actually I sung the song first. When I played it again, I was not satisfied with the voice. So I asked Yuvan to sing the song. Yuvan took just an hour to sing the song for my music."

According to Mariyaan team, they feel music is the life for the movie. They have started their shooting from climax and did on the reverse side.
