Malayalam actor Prithviraj has been making waves this summer with his outstanding performances. He played a gay police officer in Malayalam hit Mumbai Police and twin brothers in Hindi Aurangazeb.

Vasantha Balan the director of Veyil, Angadi Theru fame has now roped in Prithviraj to play an important role in his new film Kaaviya Thalaivan. It will be a two hero project with Siddharth playing the other hero and with music by AR Rahman.

Prithviraj after going through Vasantha Balan's script was very keen to do the film. Kaaviya Thalaivaan shoot is going to start later this year and looks like another period drama for Vasantha Balan after Aravan.
