Director C S Amudhan had earlier directed a spoof film titled Tamil Padam. Now he is directing his second film which is titled Rendavathu Padam.
This film has Vimal, Aravind Akash , Richard and Ramya Nambeesan in the cast.

Vijayalakshmi is donning the role of a vamp. The shooting of this film has been completed and is to be released shortly. At this juncture, the director has included one more song. Music composer Kannan has composed music for a song which begins with the lines Roja Poo. The tunes pertain to the period of 80s.

Choreographer Kalyan has also choreographed the song in the 1980 style. Director Amudhan while speaking said, " This song sequence is connected to the story. When I wanted a face cut pertaining to the period 1980, Venkat Prabhu’s face came to my mind. I immediately called upon him and told him the matter. He immediately gave his nod and came to the shooting spot on the next day itself. He was very cheerful when he came to know that Iniya will be dancing with him. The songs of this film have become very popular and once the film is released all the TV channels will be telecasting the songs from this film."
