Debutant director Shanta Kumar “Mouna Guru” has passed the acid test to be screened in the prestigious Hong Kong Film Festival.
The festival which is its 37th edition shall be held between March17th and 2nd April, shall screen the movie under the name “The Guru of Silence”.

The story about a misunderstood youth getting involved in crime has Arulnithi, Iniya playing the lead roles including John Vijay, Uma Riyaz Khan and Attakathi Dinesh. The film received critical acclaim as well as public acceptance.

The festival will also screen Anurag Kashyap’s violent saga ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ as part of its gala presentation. The movie revolves around politics, power games and crime. The movie cast includes Jaideep Ahlawat and Tigmanshi Dhulia.
