Following a compromise after a marathon discussion that stretched over six hours between Muslim leaders and Kamal Haasan last Saturday Vishwaroopam has eventually been set free.
On February 7th, it is supposed to hit the silver screens in Tamil Nadu across six hundred theaters to the relief of many impatient fans.

Notably seven scenes from the movie will run on mute. Here is a list of scenes that will go under the scissors, The reference being its original uncensored release.

1) The lines from the Holy Quran that have been used sparsely will not be part of the dialogues.

2) A particular scene where the American is slaughtered and a simultaneous praise to the almighty will also be omitted.

3) The praying scene where Kamal Haasan actually prays to his Muslim God hoping a holy intervention to prevent a dirty bomb blast in New York City in the climax will be removed.

4) Rahul Bose who is the villain in the movie portrayed as terrorist Mullah Omar mentions of hiding in Coimbatore & Madurai. There is a chance that the whole scene may be trimmed off.

5) A dialogue by veteran actor Naasar that had an implied meaning of bringing an end to non Muslims will also be omitted from the censored version.

Apart from them two other scenes are also based on similar comments and Kamal has gladly agreed to edit them as they won’t affect the script adversely. He came forth recently to assure his fans that the mutes will not affect the flow of the script and that they need not worry about it .

Anyhow, disregarding the edits the excitement midst Kamal fans is at an all time high as current reports mention that Sathyam Cinemas have sold out all the tickets for its Thursday release within the first four minutes. Time for you to get yours too.
