Word is that Sun Pictures have acquired the film for a lump sum from Village Theatres production company. They are aiming for a release in April, which could prove strategic as the competition during that period is expected to be mild. Sun Pictures from their end would ensure to ramp up the promotions.
It must be noted that post 2011 with movies like Mankatha and Vedi, Sun Pictures went into a dormant phase and now they are expected to come back to what they do best – picking and choosing their movies and making them commercially viable on the strength of their marketing muscle.
