Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan released on Friday (Feb 22) opened to good reports, more due to the director’s previous films.
There has also been a campaign against the film which got censored with an 'A' certificate and 24 cuts!
Director Ameer in an interview has listed out the reasons for the 'A' certificate. Ameer said : " Even before the censor of the film a campaign was unleashed saying it's against Hindu gods. Later many complaints were filed with the city police commissioner and with the censor board. So it was but natural censors were overcautious of the film. And censors insisted on adding Ameerin to Aadhi Bhagavan title. "
The producer of the film DMK MLA J Anbazhagan tweeted – "Requesting all to watch Aadhibhagavan as a director's movie not as Ameer’s movie."
