Noted director Vetrimaran has started his production company, ‘Grass Root Film Company’.

And in association with Dhayanidhi Alagiri's ‘Meeka Entertainment’, he is producing Udhayam NH 4 which has Siddharth and Ashrita in the lead and is directed by his long-time associate Manimaran.

1.Udhayam NH 4 is a compromised title for Desiya Nedunjalai due to inept rules governing the title ownership of our film industry

2. I shot for the film Desiya Nedunjalai with Dhanush way back in 2006 for a day but it was shelved. And when I wanted to do it again I realized the title has been already registered by Dr. Srinivasan for a film. This is no less than intellectual property theft.

3. Udhayam – NH4 is a simple film told in an interesting way. It is written by me and directed by my friend since 8th grade Manimaran. Siddharth has given a new dimension to the film with his composed performance.

4. Udhayam -NH4 has another star contributor along with Siddharth, GV Prakash . His songs for this film are sure to be liked by all.

5. My directorial venture for Cloud Nine will start from May. Dhanush is to play the lead, as informed earlier.
