Director Samuthirakani, who executed gripping dramas with friendship as their undercurrent in films like Nadodigal and Poraali is currently wrapping up work on his film with Jayam Ravi, Nimirndhu Nil.

Once he's completed that project it is believed that he will be commencing a project with Sasikumar in the lead, as he did so on two occasions in the past, for what will be a trilingual project made in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. His earlier films gained great popularity in the Telugu and Kannada market prompting him to go with the decision of making the film in all 3 languages.

Nimirndhu Nil too is being parallelly shot in Telugu with Nani in the lead and under the title Janda Pai Kapiraju.
