Superstar Rajinikanth's Sivaji movie, directed by Shankar was re-released in 3D, on the occasion of Rajini's birthday which falls on a special date in calendar – 12.12.12.

The film's 3D release has been trimmed down and many eager audience and fans of Thalaivar were wondering why they need to compromise on such a delightful viewing experience.

The reason for trimming down certain portions of the film is that 3D movies cannot be longer than 90 minutes of duration as it would cause eye irritation.

Yet, the makers have extended a bit to satisfy the fans of the superstar, who wish to see their icon on the silver screen in 3D!

Though the whole movie does not have that 3D effect, the songs are visually catching and the overall experience in 3D would delight the fans.
