Vijay Sethupathi and Ramya Nambeesan played the lead roles in the original version, which was directed by Karthik Subburaj.
The film won the appreciation of many, including Superstar Rajinikanth. Pranitha, the 'Saguni' girl has been roped in to play the heroine of the Kannada remake of 'Pizza', which will hit the floors soon.

As KollyInsider reported viewers earlier, small Tamil film Pizza has made huge profits to makers through its dubbing and remake rights and also the movie has brought enormous fame to debutant director Karthik Subbaraj and Vijay Sethupathi, who got appraisals from many along with Superstar Rajinikanth.

Now, Pizza is all set to be remade in Kannada with the title 'Whistle'. Chiranjeevi Sarja will be pairing up with Praneetha in the direction of Prashanth Raj, who is happy to wield the megaphone for such a hit script.

Whistle will start rolling soon and the makers are hoping the movie might also go well with Sandalwood audiences...
