Read Paagan Review
Paagan, which has Srikanth opposite Janani Iyer (of Avan Ivan fame), hit the screens yesterday and might make or mar Srikanth’s career in Kollywood.
In his own words, Paagan has definitely altered the course of his acting career for good, especially after starring in Shankar’s film earlier. “Paagan is a romantic comedy. Debutant director Aslam has done excellent work and has given the viewers some food for thought. Paagan means mahout who guides an elephant but in this film, I am the ‘mahout’ of my cycle and the care and maintenance I show for my cycle is shown gracefully.
“It was Ameer who recommended Aslam to me and asked me to listen to the narration of Aslam. The moment I heard him out, I decided that I’d do the film. Aslam is also responsible for changing my look and helping me get the boy-next-door slim appearance. I’m also grateful to Shankar who told me to take up roles which suited my age and my potential.
“Janani, the heroine, has done a tremendous job. I’m sure the film would shape up the careers of all those involved in it,” says Srikanth.
