The month of September 2012 is turning out to be a memorable month for UTV Motion Pictures. It had three releases so far in September- Anurag Basu's Barfi (Sep 14) followed by Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine (Sep 21) and Saji Surendran's Malayalam comedy Husbands in Goa (Sep 21)

The amazing factor is all three films have turned out to be successful at the box-office. Barfi has done worldwide business of Rs 90 Crores in 10 days and has been declared a super hit. And the icing on the cake was when the Ranbir Kapoor's class act was chosen as India's entry for the Oscar's in the 'Best Foreign Film' category.

Kareena Kapoor's Heroine has taken a very good opening and has done Rs 22 Crore in three days, which is fantastic. The Malayalam comedy Husbands in Goa is rocking the Kerala box-office and has netted Rs 1.60 Cr in three days.

Will some of these UTV's luck rub on Chiyaan Vikram's Thaandavam , the big UTV Tamil release on September 28 ? A lot is riding for this family action packed entertainer which has got a U certificate and there is a super buzz about it.
