The day after tomorrow would be a real musical fest for all the fans of Maestro Ilaiyaraaja who have been bred and brought up in his music...
In a rare appearance for a television programme, the Maestro would appear on Jaya TV on the eve of the celebrations of the country’s 65th anniversary of gaining Independence from the British colonial rule. Along with Ilaiyaraaja, ace director Gautham Vasudev Menon would also be taking part in the musical treat.
Ilaiyaraaja has joined hands with Menon for the first time in the latter’s decade-long career in films and has composed the music of his upcoming directorial venture titled Needhanae En Ponvasantham starring Jiiva and Samantha in lead roles. The trailer of the film, which was released online some time back, met with a thunderous response from the Maestro’s fans.
The songs in the film, whose recording was done in London, have reportedly come out very well. As such, expectations among music-lovers about the film’s songs have hit an all-time high. Maestro would share with the audience the way the songs were composed and how they were recorded in London.
The programme is to be broadcast at 09:30 p.m. on 15th August.
