Attakathi - A film which does not boast of a big star cast, a popular director or any publicity gimmicks releases on August 15.
The trailer, songs and even the posters of the film have created a buzz in the industry.

Director of the film, Pa Ranjith, a debutant says: 'I was told that director Shankar liked our poster design and enquired about the film. I certainly didn`t expect this kind of recognition for the movie even before its release'. Ranjith gives all credit to Venkat Prabhu, with whom he has worked in Chennai 600028, Saroja and Goa, to have brought producer Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green production house who is marketing Attakathi.

A proud moment for Ranjith was when established directors like Venkat Prabhu, Vetrimaran, Simbudevan, Pandiraj and many others saw the film and appreciated the film.

'Simbudevan compared my work with that of American actor-director Woody Allen. Kumararaja Thiagarajan said one should watch the film in a theatre to be able to enjoy it thoroughly', said the director.
