Rajini's wishes for 'Kumki' Vikram Prabhu

Vikram, son of Prabhu and grandson of Sivaji Ganesan, is all set to make his debut in Kollywood with Kumki. Directed by Prabhu Solomon, the film has Vikram playing a rural guy who tames elephants.

Now that the film is almost complete, the makers have grand plans to launch the audio of the film, which has music by Imman, on July 26. While Kamal Haasan will release the audio of the film, Suriya will be receiving it. Apart from the two, several other top stars in the industry will be making their presence felt on the big day.

Now, it was expected that Rajinikanth, a self-confessed fan of Sivaji and a dear friend of Prabhu, would also grace the occasion. However, we hear that Rajini has instead recorded a byte wishing Vikram, which he will be sending across.

A source says, “Rajinikanth has always wished well for Vikram. He has done several films with Prabhu and has even shared screenspace with the Nadigar Thilagam. He wanted to be present on such an important day, but change in plans seem to have upset his schedule. Now, he is not in a position to personally make it to the event. So, he has recorded a byte wishing Vikram and his crew and his family luck for the success of the film. The clip will be played at the audio launch!”
