This August is going to be fun time for the film buffs. Two biggies of Tamil film industry are going to clash to establish supremacy at the box office.

As per the entertainers expectation “Thuppaki” and “Maatran” has officially announced to be released on August 15th. Last year “7 am Arivu” and “Velayudham” was released at the same time. This time also both the hero’s are releasing their films at the same time.

The same scenario arose last year when Suriya's 7aam Arivu and Vijay's Velayudham released on the same day. In the end, 7aam Arivu scored more at the box office, when compared to the Vijay starrer.

“7 am Arivu” was directed by A R Murugadas and this time he is directing “Thuppaki” for Vijay. Harris Jeyaraj is composing music for both the movies “Thuppaki” and “Maatran” and Kajal Agarwal is doing the female role in both the movies. It was a coincident that the music and female role for both the movies are the same. “Urumi” movie director is doing the cinematography for “Thuppaki” and for “Maatran” the director of this film himself has done the cinematography.

“Velayudham’ and “7 am Arivu” have made a great hit and it was draw. So the audiences are more expected on both the films. We can expect both the films will hit the box office.

Amidst this there are also chances of Kamal's much awaited Vishwaroopam releasing around the same time. Looks like it is going to be one hell of a clash…
