Jeeva to play lead in Ravi K Chandran's first

Ace cinematographer Ravi K Chandran will be graduating as director very soon. Ravi K Chandran had wielded the camera for films like Ezham Arivu, Boys, Black, and My Name is Khan.

The film that he is going to direct now will be produced by RS Infotainment. Jiiva has been roped in to play the male lead and the heroine is yet to be finalised.

The actor is currently busy with Mugamoodi and Nee Thaane En Pon Vasantham and has a long line up of projects that need his attention.

He is reported to have signed up an untitled venture to be directed by ace cinematographer Ravi K Chandran. More details about this film will be made available publicly in the days to come.

After producing blockbusters like Goutham Menon’s Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya starring STR, Ko featuring Jiiva and helmed by K V Anand, Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal with Atharva as hero and directed by Elred Kumar and busy producing Neethanae En Ponvasantham that brings together Jiiva and director Goutham Menon, the famed production house RS Infotainments is all set to start their next, a big-budgeted venture.

The movie marks the foray of ace cinematographer Ravi K Chandran ISC as a director. He is a multiple Award winning cinematographer and the most sort after cinematographer in Bollywood for a while. He is now all set to direct the film that will feature Jiiva in the lead role.

Ravi K Chandran worked with leading Indian filmmakers like karan Johar, Adithya Chopra, Farhan Akthar, Sanjay Leela Banshali, Manirathnam, Priyadarshan, Shankar, Rajiv Menon, and Murugadoss..

Having made his mark with Malayalam films beginning in 1990s, he shot to fame in the national level with films like virasat, Dil Chatha hai, Koi Mil Gaya, Yuva, Black, Paheli, Saawariya, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Ghajini, My Name Is Khan, Anjaana Anjaani.

And in tamil Aayitha Ezhuthu, Minsaara Kanavu, Kandukondain Kandukondain, Kannathil Muthamittal, and boys. His last releases include Agneepath and 7aam arivu.

His Tamil directorial venture to be produced by R S.Infotainment, has Oscar winner Resul Pookutty donning the mantle of sound Engineer. Multiple national winners like production designer Sabu Cyril and Editor Sreekar Prasad are working on this film.

A tri-lingual film ( to be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi), search is on for the rest of the technicians including heroine and other stars.
