Sun TV bags Ajith's Billa 2 TV rights

To the surprise of everyone Sun TV has bagged the satellite rights of Ajith's next film 'Billa 2'.

The was a heavy competition between Vijay TV, Kalaignar TV and Sun TV and the Kalanidhi Maran owned channel finally grabbed it by paying a whopping price that is not disclosed by both the parties.

The makers of the film just sold out the audio rights to Sony Music last week for a whopping price. The film is getting completed now and is scheduled for May release. The audio is said to be launched in mid-April.

'Billa 2' has Ajith, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, Vidyut Jamwal, Prabhu and Rahman in the lead roles.

Chakri Toleti has directed the film and Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music.

After selling the audio rights of Billa 2, now the makers of the upcoming Tamil film have sold the TV rights to Sun TV. The television channel has sealed the deal for a whopping price.

The buzz is that Sun TV faced a tough competition from Star Vijay and Kalaignar TV but it is the Dayanidhi Maran-owned company, which has the last laugh. Sources say that the satellite rights of Billa 2 has been sold for an undisclosed amount but assured that it should be a big price considering the huge hype around the film.

Billa 2 is made with the budget of 30 crore plus. The movie is expected to hit the screens in May last week. The film directed by Chakri Toleti and it is produced by Suresh Balajee. It also features Mumbai-based model Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, Prabhu, Rahman, Krishnakumar and others in the cast.
