Chennai is fast becoming a hub for shootings and a lot of films are being currently shot in the city these days.


The latest to join the bandwagon of location shoots is UTV's Mugamoodi. The film starring Jiiva in the role of a super hero is fast making progress in the city, with Mysskin wielding the camera.

The buzz around the film is so big that hero Jiiva is getting mobbed by fans during the shoot.

Apparently, the film is undergoing night shoots due to the nature of the story and the shoot is on a furious pace in the Triplicane area of Chennai.

The vast number of closely located terraces in the area are ideal for the chasing scenes between hero and villains for which even parkour is being used.

In order to watch the shoot, enthusiastic crowds have been mobbing the hero and the shoot even at 2 am in the morning, ready with their mobile cameras and handycams! So much is the enthusiasm, that the crew is seen requesting the crowds to refrain from shooting the scenes for themselves.

Says a happy producer Dhananjayan, on behalf of UTV, "Their enthusiasm is to be seen to be believed! The crowds don't seem to sleep at night and even a girls hostel nearby is abuzz with enthusiastic inmates who are excited about the shooting."

Jiiva's daredevil stunts seem to have caught the imagination of the crowds who are being very co-operative.
