2011 is history and will be remembered for many reasons, some good and some bad However, filmdom and politics gave us some memories, — be it the ailing superstar or the DMK family coming under the scanner for all the wrong reasons.


However, with the Tamil film fraternity gaining global recognition, thanks to its rural background and Dhanush's Kolaveri Di this year.

The New Year too promises to be a good one. Astrologer Kaliyur Narayan says, "The stars will surpass their images and Tamil cinema will provide the world a new dimension."

While 2012 might be a fruitful year for Kollywood, will pretty lass, Shruti Haasan, strike the right chord next year?

Astrologer Mahesh Varma adds, "As per numerological and astrological sciences, this young actress will gain power only now. She will be popular only after September 2012. However, after seven years she will either change her approach to movies or change her profession."

The political scene in 2012 is surely going to be exciting predicts Kaliyur, "There will be a major unexpected turning point in Tamil Nadu politics around September and November."

While 2011 was not fruitful for the DMK family, this year will bring good repute for M. K. Stalin says Mahesh, "The dasa of Stalin is going to help him be a great person. Stalin will bring a good name to his family and relieve them of all their problems. He might face a few health problems, but this year will be good for him."

When one talks about the future, how can we not talk about Rajinikanth? His failing health might have scared many fans, but 2012 will be a fruitful year for him, predicts Mahesh. "May 12, 2012 is the day that will change his life.

He will win many laurels; however, he will have to take care of his health. His fame will increase a lot after June, till then he has to work hard and take care of his finances." Kaliyur concludes, "The country will shine in sports. 2012 will yield major results in the sport arena."
