Vijayalakshmi Ahathian had made her debut in Kollywood as a plain Jane in Venkat Prabhu’s Chennai 60028 followed by Myskkin’s Anjaathey, both super hits.
But instead of playing to her strengths of a traditional face and acting capabilities, Viji as she is known among friends decided to take the glam route.

Her dressing sense became a point of discussion for the media and film critics, especially whenever she was portrayed in western wear.

Her films in which she did glam roles like Adhe Neram Adhe Idam and Katrathu Kalavu turned out to be big flops but the pretty girl is back with a vengeance and is going to turn into a sexy siren in her new film Rendavathu Padam.

It is directed by the spoof specialist CS Amudham of Tamizh Padam fame. She is paired opposite Vimal in the film which also has Aravind Akash and Richard in the cast.

The actress tweeted: “Had super fun at CS Amudham’s Rendavathu Padam test shoot. Finally shedding my nice girl image.”  Regular shooting of the movie started today.

Rendavathu Padam stars Vimal, Aravind Akash and Richard in the lead roles. Kannan scores the music for this film.
