Jeeva and Silambarasan's rivalry seems to be never ending. Well, the Ko actor has taken potshots at Simbu again at the audio launch function of his forthcoming movie Mugamoodi.
Looks like the feud between STR and Jiiva is never ending.
Jiiva’s casual speech at the launch of his new film Mugamoodi recently has triggered a fresh wave of controversy.
It all started when Simbu opted out of K.V. Anand’s Ko last year due to creative differences with the latter. In a quick turn of events, Anand replaced him with Jiiva and the film went on to become a blockbuster, placing Jiiva on the ‘A’ list of K’town actors.
Both the actors were soon countering each other’s verbal statements and their fans’ reactions on social networking websites. All this verbal bashing had actor Jai coming to Simbu’s rescue.
Jai, who costars in Silambarasan’s Vettai Mannan, intervened in the ongoing spat between Jiiva and STR and urged the former not to talk about the latter in public.
The launch of Mugamoodi proved to be an occasion for Jiiva to take a jab at Simbu.
Talking high of his director Mysskin, Jiiva said in a casual tone, “Mysskin is asking for 90 days of my call sheet for this film. I am ready to give even 120 days. A couple of years back, when Mysskin sir approached me to play a cop’s role in his highly successful film Anjathe, I couldn’t accept it! I didn’t even have a proper moustache at that time! How could I have done justice to the police officer’s role without anything that looks like a moustache?”
The smart ones in the crowd could immediately make the connection — sources say that Jiiva was taking a dig at STR who has played a cop in his latest flick Osthe!
Simbu appears clean-shaven in the film. When Jiiva was contacted, he said, “Oh God! How can it be interpreted this way? I was only referring to an earlier film Anjathe with Mysskin, which I missed out on because I felt I may not do full justice to the cop’s role without a moustache. There is nothing more to it.”
