Kajal Agarwal while speaking about this said, "I was very much interested to work with Vijay and Murugadoss. Now I had got the opportunity to work with them in this film. This is a commercial film. My role in this film is similar to my original character.

There will always be importance for heroines in Murugadoss’s film. Similarly there is also importance for me in this film. The shooting of this film is taking place in Mumbai. Apart from this I am also pairing with Surya in Matraan directed by K V Anand. I am very proud that I am acting with two leading heroes simultaneously."
