Gautam Kurup, the villain of Kandhahar, is excited about his role in A.R. Murugadoss' much awaited Thuppaki, which has Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles.
The technical team comprises of Kalaipuli S. Thanu (producer), Santosh Sivan (camera), Harris Jayaraj (music), Jayamohan (dialogues) and Anthony (editing). The shooting of the film is currently progressing in Mumbai and Chennai.

Rumour is rife that Ilayathalapathy Vijay will play the role of a cop in this flick. Vijay has earlier played the role of an undercover cop in Pokkiri, which went on to become one of the most successful films in his career. He also suppossedly plays a detetive sort of role in Gautham's movie Yohan.
