Critically-acclaimed director Vasanthabalan's next film Aravan with Aadhi, Dhansika and Archana Kavi in the leads is progressing at a brisk pace. Being produced by T. Siva of Amma Creations, Aravan is a period drama set in 18^th Century.

Speaking about the film Aadhi says, "Aravan story is set in 18^th Century and will be distinct from all period films that were released earlier. Though it's a period genre, the movie will be racy and entertaining. Aravan will have all the commercial ingredients."

Karthik is composing the music for the film while Siddharth is taking charge of the camera and Vijay Murugan handling the art direction.
