After giving double dhamaka hits for Dhanush with Pollathavan and Aadukalam, the director Vetrimaran has shifted his focus on STR. Circles of Vetrimaran claim that actually the script was designed by keeping Dhanush in mind but the director has changed his mind towards Simbu.


After witnessing the reception accorded to Aadukalam, this time the movie is to be produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies at a whooping budget of Rs. 30 crore. It is to be seen what will emanate from this new chemistry between Vetrimaran and STR.
